The Linguistic Pathway through Poetry

. Good luck!    Jennifer Mauser  has always loved reading and writing and received a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas in 1991. Once she and her husband had children, they decided to homeschool, and she put all her training to use in the home. In addition to homeschooling her children, Jennifer teaches IEW classes out of her home, coaches budding writers via  email,  and tutors students who struggle with dyslexia. Those classes are challenging due to need to reach different linguistic abilities in one class. But good and fun poetry raises us all upward. I am always astounded how well students respond to memorizing poetry, even if they are apathetic or still poor readers. And this program simply and effectively helps them all. I can’t thank you enough for this gift. Log in or register to post comments Im so glad you like the gift. Permalink By Jennifer MauserApr25 When I worked through the course with my children, they were at vastly different spots academically. Still, we managed just fine and had a wonderful time learning the poems together. We did the earlier version of the course. I would have LOVED to have had the blackline drawings for my daughter to color in. She would have enjoyed that very much. The updated program is excellent, and I'm excited that we're going to be giving one away. Log in or register to post comments
